Heidy, Pretty in Pink

Our Mexican daughter, Ana, (former exchange student) gave Heidy this dress for Christmas. She loves to shop for little girls because she has a son and is expecting another one!!! I started out taking a couple of pictures for Ana, and this is what happened......

Cousin get together...

We used to get together every year. But so many have moved away and are in different states and towns. But this year the family with the most kids were all home, so they all decided we would have a get together!! It is great, I miss seeing everyone.

I am the 2nd to the youngest girl and all the girls were born before any boy was born.

These are the scoundrels that started it all!!! My Uncle Ed and Aunt Fern are the parents of Leanne, Linda and John. My Mom and Dad are the parents of me and my brother, Mark.

My Uncle DeLois and Aunt Margie are the parents of Becky, Carol, David, Tim, and Jeff. My Uncle Ellis who is deceased is the father of Vicky.

These are the 2nd cousins.... I am not naming all of them but 3 of my 4 weren't there and some others were missing too.

Heidy wouldn't hardly put the football down!

Here are the spouses that were there. Mark, my husband was sick. My brothers wife had promised her brother she would babysit 5 of his kids. Tim was sick and Jeff and his family had already left.

We took a family picture, at Mark's office. before the kids all left. We didn't want it inside either his office or the reception area, so we decided outside!! I hate Mark's classes that turn dark!!!

One last Christmas present Heidy gave

One present I forgot to mention that Heidy wanted to give is a present for "Eden, her sissy in Afaca" She wanted to give her a blankie. She knows that we sent her a blankie while she was still in Guatemala and so she wanted to get her sissy one. She gave her a purple fuzzy soft blanket. I am praying we can start the process soon. Pray with us.

Chriatmas Day 2007

First of all, every kid has their own paper and no one else has things wrapped in that paper. No names are on anything. I just know. I have done this for years. They try to guess who each one belongs to and sometimes they guess right, but most of the time they don't. This year was a red theme. We divide everything up into piles, and then when Santa comes he adds to the piles what he leaves.

Later that night Ana, our former exchange student that is like a daughter to us came over with her son, Andrew and husband, Tim. She is like a daughter to us!!

The only one that we didn't get to see that is like another daughter to us is Jennifer and she and Mady came over a few days ago!!

It was a wonderful day, even though I couldn't talk at all!!! Laryngitis stinks!!!

Christmas Eve

It is Christmas Eve and time to put the reindeer food out for them to see....

Here once again, Heidy's moon!! A full moon to show Santa the way....... Which Heidy was ok with as long as he didn't come into her room, she said.

Decorating Cookies

On Sunday afternoon we decided to decorate cookies. We had a lot of fun!!

Some of our handiwork. The red with the green center in the upper left, is one of Heidy's creation. It has about 1/3 of a bottle of the fine green decorating sugar on it. Heidy liked to ice the cookies and then use all kinds of sprinkles. You can usually tell which ones are hers.
