Vacation Bible School.... PCC Sports Camp

Heidy went to Vacation Bible School at our church this past week. She loved it! What we did this year was have a sports camp with 5 sports, cheerleading, football, basketball, volleyball and soccer. Heidy chose Cheerleading!! They would go to learn the basics of their sports and then have prayer time and a Bible lesson together. It was a lot of fun for the workers too!! Get a look at the safetly green shirts we workers had to wear!! A real fashion statement huh???

Her papa got her ready tonight!! I had to be there early, the greens in the shirt and shorts don't match!!

This is Maci and her mommy, Gina and Heidy and her mommy, ME!!!

Mommy I just want to have VBS from here in this golf cart!!

Ready, OK!!

Natalie, is helping Heidy be a cheerleader!!

These are some of Heidy's friends, Chloe, Maya, Alyssa and of course Miss Heidy.

Maci, had fun at VBS too, though she was too small to go to a class.

Owen and Heidy liked to eat together.

"Are you watching Mommy??? Watch me!!" That is what I heard alot when I would go into the room where they were.

Two of the helpers were Jordan and Alexis. She enjoyed them helping her!!

"Fight the fight, Run the race, Keep the Faith!!! YEAH!!!!"

Heidy is a FLOWER GIRL !!

Heidy got to be the flower girl in her big Sissy Milady's wedding. She has practiced with flowers at home and hairbows in stores when we were trying her dress on her and whatever she could find that reminded her of flower girl flowers!!!

Mallory, the junior bridsmaid's job was to get Heidy to walk down and throw her flowers. Mallory was the flower girl in Jordan, our sons wedding, so she graduated up!

This was at the rehearsal dinner at our house, that is where Milady and Chad wanted it. We had a lot of fun!

There were a lot of people there.

Heidy and her friend Mady skinny dipped again!!

This is the wedding site. If I had gotten it any closer then something would have been cut out. I love the frame we had built for them to stand in front of. It turned out well.

Then the wedding day arrived..... No rain in sight!! That was the prayer for many months. I wish it had rained enough before the wedding to not look so dry! But I am just thankful it didn't rain that day!! Heidy had gone to a friends house to take a nap and she brought her to me to dress her before the wedding pictures, which were all taken before the wedding!

Here are all my kids, Jordan and his wife Rachel, He didn't dress up because he was the photographer. (one of his sidelines, away from Architecture) and Skyler and Heidy and of course the bride, Milady and her husband, Chad.

Heidy playing around with one of her gifts from Milady, a bracelet.

Heidy and Milady kissing before the wedding.

Heidy and Chad kissing before the wedding.

The wedding is beginning.... Mallory trying to tell Heidy to throw the flowers. I didn't add everyone, this is long enough.

Mallory helping her throw them.

Milady and her father, my husband, Mark, walking down the aisle.

WOW, the kiss!!! I was told by some friends that Chad deserved an A+.

The first dance!!!! Don't they look sweet?

The father/daughter dance, was the father/daughter/daughter dance!! Heidy wasn't going to be left out!!

The cake made by my mom, was gorgeous!! Not fancy at all but plain and elegant, like Milady likes.

The day was hot and humid and NO RAIN!!! The wedding itself was short sweet and to the point. They said very short vows and had communion with their friend Jacob singing. The reception was fun and didn't last terribly long, they wanted "out of there". All in all a good day!! God is good!!

My friend Maci and me

This is Heidy's friend Maci, she came home from China on Jan. 6, 2007. We went through our adoption of Heidy and their adoption of Maci together, and we have two more friends that were only two months behind Donnie and Gina as far as their log in date in China and they still don't have their referrals. We know one of them will get theirs next time and it depends on how many days they do, both families might!! They are 9 days apart. We sure are praying that way! Heidy loves Maci a lot, and she can't wait until her two new friends get home!!

Our lap dog

Heidy and Mark decided to hold Kandi our "lapdog" (she thinks she is) who is 12 years old and 89 pounds!! She would lay like this forever if Mark would hold her.
This is Lilly Belle, the real lapdog. She is 5 years old and about 7 pounds.

Honestly Kandi thinks that she is the same size as Lilly, we all know the difference though.

Heidy swimming!!

Today Heidy swam the entire length of our pool two times!!! I will add pictures. She has been everywhere in her floaties and my oldest daughter Milady asked can I take off her floaties and see if she can swim, she did and voila!!! Wow were we impressed!! We have drilled it into her head, not to go into the water without someone big with her. I am afraid she won't ever want to wear her floaties anymore!!

We have had a busy couple of weeks! Milady is home getting the finalized for the wedding. They are wanting to be outside every afternoon they can to get some sun since the dresses are strapless. I have put them to work outside, helping clean and organize!! :-) So that is why no new entries. But will try to be better.

Heidy would swim To Jennifer, a friend of ours, over and over again!! "Hey Look" is her favorite words in the pool. She loves to show she can swim!!

Skyler would swim backwards in front of Heidy and Heidy would swim the whole length of the pool. AND if it looks like Heidy is "nakey" , she is!! She and Jennifer's little girl decided to skinny dip!! Madelyn is 6 months younger than Heidy.

This is how she will sometimes finish her underwater swim!! She reminds me of a dolphin!! She wants to swim everyday and is disappointed that we can't.
