This was 2 years ago, at Heidy's 2nd birthday party! She is having fun, see she is smiling!! ( that isn't the weirdest thing she ever wore either!!! )

I know how sad it is to lose your pet. I always think of the verses in the Bible that say if a sparrow falls from a tree, God sees, when I hear of a beloved pet dying. Your Kandyu was lucky to have been so loved!

I am so sorry for your loss of your dear sweet Kandi! We had to put our Golden down about 6 months ago at the age of 12 and we were heartbroken. Still are. I first said we would not be getting another dog, but I just can't take the silence left without Katie's presence. We are currently waiting for a Golden pup from a litter that was just born last week.
I love that picture of your Kandi! My oldest always used to say that Katie smiled, too!

I am so sorry to hear about your beloved Kandi... we lost our little Cricket this same time last year and I still get weepy thinking about her. They aer as much your family as their human siblings... my deepest sympathies on the loss of your faithful friend.

I found your blog through Sarah's. I read your entry about sweet Kandi's passing and wanted you to know how very sorry I am. I know how painful losing a beloved pet can be. We had a dog named Tucker before we had kids and he was very much our "baby". When I was pregnant with our 1st, Tucker got cancer. We couldn't face losing him at a young age (only 4 years old) so we put him through doggie chemo. He lasted another 6 months - long enough to meet our son. I held him when he was put to sleep too. Reading your post made me cry! I like to think that when it is our time to start our Heavenly lives, it will be those beloved pets that are the 1st to greet us!
