The "P" Day at Pre School

One day late in October, at "P"re school they had "P" day. First, we began with wearing "P"Js to school!! Heidy wore a "P"ink nightgown. Then we had "P"ancakes on "P"lates.... Miss Nat Nat asked me to make them and the "much younger" mom had NEVER made them so I showed her how to make "P"ancakes at the same time. So, we made "P"ancakes and they turned out well.

Then we played "P"in the tail on the "P"ig...... Miss Nat Nat wore "P"ink "P"J "P"ants.
Then we made "P"umpkin "P"lacemats.....
Here is a bunch of "P"umpkins!!! Some are happy "P"umpkins and some are sad "P"umpkins, but they all were "P"retty "P"umpkins all over table.

After that, we went to watch a Winnie the "P"ooh movie and eat "P"opcorn.....Miss Nat Nat read the book "When You Give A "P"ig a "P"ancake" for circle time to end the "P" day at "P"re school!!!

Halloween 2007 --- Old MacDonald had a Farm

Halloween 2007 was fun, we had Ky from Hong Kong, Doris from Taiwan ( our exchange student) and Tatsi from Japan and Skyler, Heidy and Mady (our "granddaughter-by-choice"). Quite a crew, huh?

Pre School Fall Harvest Party

On Halloween morning, Heidy's preschool had their Fall Harvest Party. I helped with it. First they had a hayride. The 2 yr old class and the 3 yr old class went first.

They came inside to decorate treat bags they can carry tonight. They colored pictures that were glued on them, after they were cut out.

They also got to decorate their own cookie for part of their snack. Heidy loved that part!!

There was a bean bag toss and other games too, they had lots of fun. They always do at their parties.

Fall Festival 2007

One year ago tonight, Heidy came home from Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis from her hip surgery. She didn't get to go to her first "Fall Festival" at our church because of her surgery. But she did this year!!!!

We met my Mom and Dad for dinner a couple of weeks ago, for my mom's birthday. We met at Cracker Barrel, as soon as we sat down, my dad says "Do you remember the last time we met at here and sat at this very table?" I did, it was the first time that my mom and dad got to see and meet Heidy!!

I brought Mom a few things from Ethiopia and this shawl was one thing. She had to try it on, of course!

Old and New friends, all from China!!

Saturday was the first round of playoffs for our high school football team. Heidy's old friends, Molly and Gabi, her new friend, Ava were all there. Molly came home from China before Heidy came home from Guatemala and Gabi came home in September and Ava just came home on the 24th of October!! The one that was missing was Maci, she was with her Grandma!! Molly's mommy and daddy are going back to China maybe before the end of the year to get Molly a sister!!
