Wedding Saga Continued....

Well, Thursday came and went. No wedding. I assume that Jason was working again. He is very sweet with Heidy. His parents think it's cute!!

We took off for Lancaster, PA for an adoption reunion with Celebrate Children International. I will post about that when I can!! I have to pack too, for San Diego, we are going there Thursday for a business trip for Mark.

Heidy's Wedding Saga

Several months ago, Heidy and her papa had a discussion that Heidy could only kiss her papa. She kept saying "No Papa" So Mark told her "Ok you can kiss your Bubby and me, your papa." Heidy again said, "No Papa, Heidy kiss Jason". Now, Jason is a 21 year old college guy at church. She said her boyfriend was Jason, I didn't even know she knew what a boyfriend was!!! She has it bad for him!!! He is a handsome young man, she has good taste. I will try to take a picture of them together. Anyway this past Sunday, she told me she was getting married on Tuesday. I asked her who she was marrying, and she said "My Jason!" Like Duh Mom... And she was wearing her white flower girl dress. So I called Jason and told him who replied, this is news to him!! But in a little while he did stop by to see Heidy!! It was so cute. He told Heidy that he had to come and see her since they were getting married on Tuesday. She was hugging all over him. Well, today is Tuesday and there was no wedding. Mark said "Heidy It's Tuesday and you didn't get married" and immediately Heidy told Mark and me that Jason had to work and now they are getting married on Thursday!!! She is a quick thinker!! I will keep you posted on the saga of Heidy's wedding to Jason or not........

Being a big girl and doggies

Yesterday the girls, Mark and I went shopping and guess what Heidy got??? "Big girl undies". She has worn the thicker training pants for a while and has been doing so well, that I thought "big girl undies" were the thing!!! She is so impressed with them. Of course, she got Dora undies and Backyardigans undies!!

She is loving on the doggies with her "big girl undies" on.

Kandi, the golden and Lilly, the poodle aren't as impressed as she is!! She loves her doggies!!

Holiday World fun!!!

Today we went to Holiday World in Santa Clause, Indiana. My neice, Cassie Jo is spending a few days with us and we thought it would be fun! She, Skyler and Heidy are posing with Santa in July!!! This is a great little park!!

The kiddie area is really nice. Heidy rode the Merry go round first!!

I love the look on her face!! She was thrilled!!

She got in the space ships backwards, because the gun pointed that way, of course!!

Most kids like to sit backwards on this ride for the same reason.

In the airplanes, she was the pilot!

She loves to fly in big planes so I knew she would love this ride!

I love the Bumper Boats. This used to be my favorite ride!! Yes, Holiday World has been around a long time! It used to be called Santa Clause Land. But they added other holidays to it, so now it's Holiday World.

Hey Mom this won't steer right, not like my John Deere Gator!! She loved riding the bumper boats too!!

Of course, we couldn't leave out the Sea Horses!! She really enjoyed kiddie land!! I think she would have stayed all day in there.

Now we are getting ready for the water park, Splashin' Safari.

She loved paying around in the water, this wasn't even the part for little, little ones.
Then we went to the kiddie part and she had even more fun!!!

This slide was fun for her too but a slower slide so she didn't ride it as often.

On our way out, she saw a Nativity scene and she wanted to see Baby Jesus.

On the way home, after a dinner at Denny's, she crashed!!

And just so everyone knows, this was not at all close to using up all the pictures I took!!!

4th of July -- 2007

Today we had some friends over. We swam and had fun, ate dinner, played games and then went to the fireworks. It was a great day! Heidy had fun!!!

Vacation Bible School.... PCC Sports Camp

Heidy went to Vacation Bible School at our church this past week. She loved it! What we did this year was have a sports camp with 5 sports, cheerleading, football, basketball, volleyball and soccer. Heidy chose Cheerleading!! They would go to learn the basics of their sports and then have prayer time and a Bible lesson together. It was a lot of fun for the workers too!! Get a look at the safetly green shirts we workers had to wear!! A real fashion statement huh???

Her papa got her ready tonight!! I had to be there early, the greens in the shirt and shorts don't match!!

"Are you watching Mommy??? Watch me!!" That is what I heard alot when I would go into the room where they were.

Two of the helpers were Jordan and Alexis. She enjoyed them helping her!!

Heidy is a FLOWER GIRL !!

Heidy got to be the flower girl in her big Sissy Milady's wedding. She has practiced with flowers at home and hairbows in stores when we were trying her dress on her and whatever she could find that reminded her of flower girl flowers!!!

Mallory, the junior bridsmaid's job was to get Heidy to walk down and throw her flowers. Mallory was the flower girl in Jordan, our sons wedding, so she graduated up!

This was at the rehearsal dinner at our house, that is where Milady and Chad wanted it. We had a lot of fun!

This is the wedding site. If I had gotten it any closer then something would have been cut out. I love the frame we had built for them to stand in front of. It turned out well.

Then the wedding day arrived..... No rain in sight!! That was the prayer for many months. I wish it had rained enough before the wedding to not look so dry! But I am just thankful it didn't rain that day!! Heidy had gone to a friends house to take a nap and she brought her to me to dress her before the wedding pictures, which were all taken before the wedding!

Here are all my kids, Jordan and his wife Rachel, He didn't dress up because he was the photographer. (one of his sidelines, away from Architecture) and Skyler and Heidy and of course the bride, Milady and her husband, Chad.

The cake made by my mom, was gorgeous!! Not fancy at all but plain and elegant, like Milady likes.

The day was hot and humid and NO RAIN!!! The wedding itself was short sweet and to the point. They said very short vows and had communion with their friend Jacob singing. The reception was fun and didn't last terribly long, they wanted "out of there". All in all a good day!! God is good!!
