Snow, Hot Chocolate and Cream Brulee

On the 16th of December, we woke up to this beautiful snow!! I loved it.

We were having some friends over and I was making Cream Brulee for all of us. Heidy was helping me, she loves to help me cook and stir things.

Heidyism on Santa......

As you know Heidy is terrified of Santa. I asked her why.. One reason she gave me is "He wears black gloves" I told her "You wear gloves" and then she said "He has black boots" and I said "You have boots" Then Heidy said "He has hair" I replied, " You have hair" And very indignantly she replied to me " But not on my CHIN!!" Ok, she got me with that one......

Singing at the banks #2

The second bank of the day. The very first thing I asked my friend who is the Bank president, Is Santa coming? No not until way later, Ok Heidy was free and clear!!

Singing at the banks......

Every year Wee Kare goes to a couple of the banks and sings Christmas songs. It is great!! I love hearing them. This year I had Maci with me too and Heidy isn't dressed Christmasy at all, because I sort of forgot until she was at school. But that is ok ... Macy keeps watching the kids singing and rarely looks at me to see the camera.

She is making sure that Maci is singing and clapping while holding her pant legs up, not sure why, though they are a little long. Size 3 just fits and size 4 is a little big but I refuse to buy size 3 that she may only wear once.

On the opposite side of the bank the door opened and in walked the Man in Red.... Heidy spotted him and screamed a blood curdling scream and took off running to hide behind the crowd of kids. She was terrified. My friend Terri, got to her before I could and she had a death grip on Terri's jacket!!! When I took her this is what she did, buried her head in my shoulder and refused to lift it up to even LOOK at Santa. Poor baby, She really is scared.

When it was over and we were all getting in our vehicles, She got in her seat and the belt was on and she said, " I locked my door Mommy" I grinned because I guess she thought that Santa was going to still get her. So when we were driving off, guess who was walking down the sidewalk??? Yep, Santa, He waved and HEIDY WAVED BACK!!!!!!!! This is an accomplishment!!! She was so proud of herself!!

Christmas Musical Program at Pre School

On December 13, we had the Christmas program at Heidy's Pre School. The lighting was really low so the pictures aren't great. Heidy is in the light blue Christmas dress, you will see it again in the future.
She was saying her part... "Jesus is my Savior, Love and follow Him" She was supposed to say "Jesus is YOUR Savior, Love and follow Him" But she refused. I wasn't sure what would come out of her mouth that night because sometimes at home she would say.. "I'm Heidy, Jesus is my Savior....." And other things. Who knew.. But she said it well.
Singing and doing motions!! I loved watching her, She would stop and look at us and say "Hi Papa, Hi Mommy" out loud!! But I guess so were other kids.

She was eating snacks afterwards!! Of course Cheetos!! Her favorite!!

It was a great night!!!!

Doctor Appointment on December 10, 2007

Monday we went to the Doctor for a check up on Heidy's surgery that she had in November. It was the surgery to take the plate and screws out of her leg. He said she is free and clear to do what ever she wants, gymnastics and jumping and tumbling and EVERYTHING!!! Let her be a kid, was his exact words. I even asked about the splits since she is in gymnastics, he said yes!! I am not supposed to worry!

This isn't a good picture, but I wanted to put it on here. This is her Doctor, Dr. Loder. He is a great surgeon!! Notice Heidy has on her Doctor outfit!!

Another Heidyism on Christmas.......

Our oldest daughter, Milady was talking to Heidy on the phone.... She asked Heidy "What do you want for Christmas this year?" Heidy says to her "I already had Christmas. I got a Dora Castle." So Milady asked "But Heidy, what do you want this year? and Heidy .... "No Sissy Milady, I already had my Christmas. I got my Dora Castle." Milady continued "Do you want toys?" Heidy.. "No, I already have toys." Milady .... "OK, Do you want shoes?" Heidy.. "No, I already have shoes." Milady had a hard time convincing her that she would have another Christmas this year. But I think she finally did.

In Heidy's mind, she only got one Christmas ever. She actually thought this. When Milady told me this conversation, I almost cried! She is 3 1/2 years old. She should have known that you have Christmas every year, but she didn't. Last year was the only Christmas that Heidy ever had. This year she has another one.........

Heidy the Pilot

We got some boxes from Mark's office to pack some stuff up and put it away. Heidy wanted to play with them and so Skyler joined in. Heidy was the pilot, I am told. Heidy told me they were flying to the ocean, to go swimming!!

2007 Christmas Parade

Saturday was our Christmas Parade. Heidy was in it with her Pre School Wee Kare. The theme was "An Old Fashioned Christmas". The Wee Kare float was Christmas Memories.... That's why the pajamas. Heidy has layers on!!!I think I am ready Mom!!
