My Sissy Skyler's 8th grade Graduation

My Sissy Skyler graduated from 8th grade!!!

Here she is in her cap and gown.
I decided to stand in line with my Sissy, to help shake hands.

My mommy and papa gave my sissy a dozen roses!! My sissy Milady gave her crazy daisies. I got to help Skyler hold her flowers. Now she is finished for the summer and can play with me all day!!!!

My Sister in law, Rachel and Me

This is my Sissy Rachel and me and our fun afternoon......

We listened for and looked for frogs, at the pond...... We did see some and hear them sing.

We blew dandelions in the wind...... This is fun!!

We went swinging in the park............. I learned how to pump my feet right, forward and backward, forward and backward....

We rode the merry go ground......... (my Bubby Jordan was sitting in the middle of it taking pictures of me)

We looked for bugs in the trees.... We didn't find any.

We tried to climb the poles of the swings....... well, I did but Sissy Rachel didn't try at all.

And then it was time to go back home. I love my Sissy Rachel.

Adoption Video and Then and Now

Please watch this video.........

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcmz_adoption1

It's about adoption. This is specific to Chinese adoptions, but can be related to any child left by their birth parents. Be sure to have tissues nearby. I was ok until they started singing "Jesus Loves Me" and Heidy who was watching it with me started singing it along with the video. She was like these children!! Then I broke down and cried. She got a tissue and said "I do it Mommy" and wiped my tears away. I thank God everyday for our daughter, Heidy. We feel she is a precious gift from God. Yesterday was Guatemala's Mother's Day and I think of Heidy's birthmother and the sacrifice she made to make an adoption plan for Heidy. I am sure she thinks of her and wishes she could see her and know she is being cared for and loved very much. I pray God comforts her and gives her peace with the decisions she had to make. I thank God for this special lady.

Here are then and now pictures of our little bundle of energy!!

Heidy at referral, age 18 months.

Heidy, this morning, 19 months later!!

We are going to have lunch with some friends and Heidy wanted to wear this dress because "Diego will like it!!" This is starting way to early!!!!

Heidy got her ears pierced today!!

Heidy wanted her ears pierced for 6 months at least, her papa had always said "No, no, no" But he finally gave in because Heidy wanted them done, since she is going to be a flower girl. She wanted her papa to go with her. So he came from work to hold his baby, Heidy, while she got her ears pierced.

Getting it done....... Looking a little nervous.

As soon as we were done, we had to leave to go to Heidy's sissy Skyler's track meet. Here is her new ear rings! All the tears are dried up and Heidy is all smiles now!

Another great view of the ear rings!! She is very happy with them!!

Her sissy Skyler, waiting to run.

Our Picnic with Friends

We went to a friend's house for a Graduation cook out for her daughter. Heidy had a blast! We got to visit with friends and play badminton and Mark got to play washers (not sure what this actually is) . Heidy decided to learn both games......

Hey, this net is a little tall for me, but I will try!

Is this how you do it?

Oh Man, I missed!!!

Andrew, can you play with me??

Ok I hold it up like this??

I think I will hang out with some of the men, they are throwing things.

My papa is getting ready to pitch these things called washers, I am helping him.

Craig and I are watching for a squirrel to come back down, I yelled for him and he didn't listen to me. He just ran away. This was a fun day for me!!!!

Milady's Bridal Shower Weekend

Milady and Chad, her fiance.

Heidy helping open gifts. I think she thought the shower was
for flower girls until she started helping.

Heidy and her biggest sister Milady.

We flew to Florida on Friday to spend the weekend with our oldest daughter Milady, who was having a bridal shower on Saturday night. It was a couples shower. Heidy had lots of fun!! In the airport we let Heidy wear her squeaky shoes her friend brought her from China. I can't tell you how many people there were that said something to me about how cute she was or how cute the shoes were, how we couldn't lose her with those shoes. I saw businessmen that are usually not smiley in airports smile and pilots let her in the cockpit, and people asked where they could get them too!! She loves the sound of the shoes and prances when she wears them so she was showing off a little too!! I have NEVER seen so many smiles in an airport before, and we have been in plenty of them! It was a great weekend, just too short.

Easter Bunny 2007

When Heidy went to see the Easter bunny right before Easter, she wanted NOTHING to do with him. We walked in the mall and got up close to the area where he was and NO WAY!! So a couple of days ago we gathered all of her bunnies and took pictures here with Easter bunnies that don't MOVE and aren't HUGE!!!
